And so, now, Mr. O decides to "travel" to the states that were "friendly" to him in the '08 election and "at our expense". He claims he is doing this to find out what the "folks" are thinking...and so that we don't think he's an elitist...however, he is "electioneering" at our expense and he is an ELITIST. He's planning a lovely Martha's Vineyard vacation, too, (where the Elite meet and greet) while people in our country are out of work, losing their jobs/homes/families. I would say you can call him an Elitist. He is like Nero who fiddled while Rome burned...his fiddle, however, is a golf club.
My favorite speaking segment on this trip is when he said, today, that our economy has been hit by "some bad luck". BAD LUCK...the only BAD LUCK we've had, in the USA, is OBAMA!! His approval poll ratings are now 39%. I think that poll figure is very generous. What's he done other than get us deeper in debt than any other President. And blame everyone else for his shortcoming: Bush, the Tea Party, the Republicans, Bad Luck, Japan's earthquake, the WEATHER! Give me a break!
It's obscene when you see the amount of money he's been raising for his campaign. What we should do is have a rule. Everyone takes a predetermined amount of money from a pool of money, perhaps a dollar or two from each tax payer on his/her takes return, and is limited to those monies for campaigning. No corporate or individual donations. Therefore, no politican would be "beholding" to any lobbyist, corporation, individual, George Soros, etc. We need to get all these questionable donations out of the electioneering arena.
And finally, speaking of Obama, whatever happened to confidentiality with our top secrets. He goes and tells the world which group killed Osama Bin Laden...Navy Seals Team 6. Thanks for telling the terrorists, Mr. O, who killed their leader. So what do they do, they kill 30 Navy Seals from Team 6. DUH! Mr. O, you are supposed to protect our servicemen, you are supposed to be the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. Protection, Security, Mr. Obama you were supposed to keep Top Security Protection for these men who were risking their lives for us. Did you do your job?

A Crisis of Confidence
Billions of dollars of wealth has evaporated. Seventy-four percent of the people polled in a recent Rasmussen poll states people are concerned about the direction of the US economy. People want the government to get spending under control. Fifty-six percent of people polled feel they disapprove of Obama's job performance.
We have had huge dives in Wall Street numbers. Are we heading for another recession. President Obama is headed for a nine day vacation!! We are concerned about the debt ceiling vote. The American people expect of our leaders to have solved the problem of the debt. We have a President who has failed to do his job. He is INCAPABLE of doing his job. Both the Congress and the President are in bad shape. Dow has finished at 10,719.94 today. Federal Reserve pledges to keep interest rates low for at least the next two years. Obama has had the worse week ever domestically. Thirty five percent of the people polled approve of his work on the economy.
Key voter groups have drifted away from Obama. Independents approve of him only 34%. He simply has not shown strength. Congressional approval rating is at 10%, according to a recent Fox poll. Fox's overall approval rating for the President fell to 42% from 45% in July. People actually thought Obama had a plan when they voted for him. And, more importantly, he has become the elitist he has knocked in his push to tax the super rich...which has become. He is rich, he is out of touch with the American people. People are hurting, people don't have jobs. Or, if they do, they worry if tomorrow they'll be unemployed. Our 40lKs are failing us. There is no confidence in him here nor abroad. What are we to do?

He said he would cut the deficit in HALF!
When Barack Obama took office, one of the "promises" he made was that he would cut the deficit in half. Not only didn't he do that but he increased the deficit exponentially. He refuses to place any blame on himself...it's always others.
He's enjoying giving press conferences and speeches but never says anything concrete. No specifics. A few months ago he spoke of his "plan" to grow jobs and help the Americans who are out of work. All he has, to date, is keep them with their hands out looking for money for the government. As Americans, we have had the ideal of working hard and being rewarded by earning money...not taking hand outs. It seems, though, that might be his actual plan. Keep Americans looking for handouts. Keep Americans depending on the government for its support and, therefore, we become a socialist country. A country where the citizens live off the dole. I remember as a child folks would ask me, "What do you WANT TO BE when you grow up. I never said, "I want to stay home, watch TV and collect a government check!!
That's exactly, though, how some folks are thinking. What are we teaching out kids about this great country of ours? Don't bother going to college since, when you graduate, there will be no jobs for you. Just relax and wait at the mailbox for your "government check". The questions is: who is paying these monies for our checks. Are the "millionaires" the ones who are going to carry this burden? I'll tell you, these "millionaires" will quickly get tired of sending their money so Americans can sit home and watch TV and collect checks. If they are truly the rich of this country who he plans will carry our burden, they will soon tire of this and leave this country. That, however, seems to be the "Obama get us out of debt plan".
My favorite line now is: Are we better off today than we were four years ago? I think NOT! Take a look at the debt, deficit, economy, jobs situation. See the perception of us by others. Look at the President going to speak today at 1 p.m., then 1:30 p.m., then 1:45 p.m. There is just no confidence being held by Americans and the rest of the world by a man who waits and waits before he says something and then when he finally says something...he says nothing. There is no leadership here.
The Republicans are being blamed for everything. This is a Tea Party downgrade when S&P downgraded us. We hoped Obama would move toward tax reform but not raising taxes on "the proverbial rich" and heaven knows who he really believes are rich, probably you and me! He needs to have a healthy relationship with small businesses across America. Encourage growth of small businesses by giving the owners of them favorable tax treatments.
The spin from the White House is becoming more and more transparent. Let's hope the American people can start to see the difference between the White House fiction and the actual facts of what they are doing, what they have done and what plans, if any, they have to save America from continued downgrading.
